As we enter another spring with COVID 19 in tow, we are in a slow motion race to the (sort of) finish line awaiting our vaccines. We hope you are all staying well and safe.
But in the farming department we press on regardless! We are busy up-potting all our veggie starts and our peas , broad beans and garlic don’t care a lick about pandemics- they are growing like crazy. We have 8 healthy baby lambs, (5 of them registered Cotswolds) cavorting about in the field.
The only question is how to connect you with the food! As you know we cancelled most of our winter markets due to the increasing COVID restrictions. So here is our plan so far":
1) Our delicious farm fresh eggs are available daily at the farm stand OUTSIDE our gates. Due to increasing feed and maintainance costs we have made the difficult decision this year to increase our price to $7.00 per dozen. Thank you for your understanding.
2) We will once again be selling at the North Saanich Farm Market every Saturday morning, beginning June 5th. The market is of course adherent to COVID regulations and masks must be worn. The board of the market is taking every precaution to keep you safe.
3) Also beginning in June, we will be holding our Wednesday markets right here at the farm from 10:00 am to 5 pm. These are held at the bigger farm stand inside our gates in the fresh air. We would ask that you wear a mask and respect social distancing requirements.
4) In June we will re open our online store with pick up available between 4 pm and 6 pm Monday to Thursday and on Saturdays at the North Saanich farm Market.
5) Watch for notices of special events like our bedding plant sale in mid May and Fresh Garlic festival in July.
Looking forward to seeing you all after a long and weird winter. Please stay safe and be vaccinated!
