Its Saturday and that means market day. This is as strong a tradition in our minds as Monday is laundry day. But farm markets have changed and become more complicated - somethimes selling the same things you might in fact find at a big box store and have deviated from the idea of local people providing simple local food, art and music.

Not so for the North Saanich Farm market. ( 10990 W Saanich Rd, North Saanich, BC V8L 5P6) It is dedicated to our local farm economy and support North Saanich farms. The produce is natural and chemical free, the baking is local and better than any you would find in the fanciest bakery and the music is simple and heartwarming.

Come to shop or just to have a coffee and feel your stress drop away as you appreciate that life does not always have to be complicated, does not always involve an electronic device and is grounded in good peopel and good community.
